Ceifred Goodman, that's me, was born in St James, Barbados to Sybil and Adolphus Goodman. I spent my early and formative years with my grandmother, effectionately called Evie. I travelled to England in my twenty-first year, and there I made my home with my wife, Yvonne, and three children. Through the years, I moved from job to job, not really finding anything that was fully satisfying. During this period, I dabbled with the arts, sketching with pencil and charcoal, and winning local and works arts competition. I eventually graduated to oil painting which I find simply fascinating. I am self-taught, and with the tremendous love of God's creation as my inspiration. I'm, nevertheless an ardent fan of the wet-on-wet technique of the American landscape painter, Bob Ross. Like him, I believe everyone can paint. There is nothing that gives me more pleasure than watching the manifestation of a piece of God's creation coming to life on the canvas. As the Great Architect and Universal Ruler stood back and saw that His creation was good, so I am well pleased that He put down inside of me the ability to create a master piece out of His immaculate creation, for the posterity of mankind.
I have exhibited at the Wandsworth's Arts Festival for a number of years with some success. I have built this site to show my work to a wider audience.
